Located just one block east from el Jardin, across from San Miguel's Post Office, El Pegaso is one of the most popular places amongst foreigners, locals, and local foreigners. El Pegaso stands out for its colorful interior, with red chairs and tables, as well as small decorations with colorful cartoon skeletons adorn the walls. All of these items are hand-crafted and can be bought from the restaurant! El Pegaso is also without a doubt one of the most traditional places in San Miguel. Some of the waiters have been working there for more than 15 years, and are quite the characters (friendly characters, at that).
Few places in San Miguel offer such a diverse menu. Options ranging from Mexican Ceviche and Enchiladas, to Hamburgers, Club Sandwiches and even Sushi. Of course, all of these seemingly generic options have the distinct flair that only el Pegaso can offer, making every menu item that is seemingly common become a novel choice. Breakfast is usually their busiest part of the day, but well worth it. The Benedictine eggs are a renowned breakfast favorite, as are the freshly squeezed, all natural fruit juices. The cheery and efficient service, as well as the patrons' diverse nature make El Pegaso a safe and fun choice to enjoy a great meal at any time of the day.
